Central Catholic Irish Dance Team

The Irish Dance Team (IDT) is an all girl sports team at Central Catholic High School. The team started out as a school club in 2007 and they worked their way up to be recognized as an official sport in 2015. IDT is made up of 21 girls from all backgrounds and skill levels who help each other learn and train in jazz, hip-hop and ballet. The team currently performs at home athletic competitions, pep rallies, parades, and community events.

For the sixth straight year, IDT competed in the OASSA Regional and State Dance Competition. Most recently, they placed first in the large hip-hop division and third in the small jazz division. The Irish Dance Team are five-time Hip-Hop State Champions placing first in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023 and one-time Jazz State Champions placing first in 2022.
