Laila Fitzpatrick is the 2023 Valedictorian of Jones Leadership Academy of Business and a rising junior in the University of Toledo’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. While currently pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Laila works as a Basic Life Support instructor, teaching life saving interventions such as CPR and first aid.

Laila has a strong desire to learn new things, serve others in her community, build positive relationships with others and have fun along the way. Laila proudly serves as the Toledo Chapter Treasurer for the NAACP Youth Council and volunteers throughout the community. Laila’s hobbies include reading, writing stories, drawing characters, listening to music, and playing the piano.

Laila’s journey, thus far, has not been without challenges. From tested peer relationships to academic struggles, Laila has learned the importance of faith, resilience, and finding purpose.
